23 teacher appreciation gift ideas

History

The idea of celebrating Teachers’ Day took ground independently in many countries during the 20th century; in most cases, they celebrate a local educator or an important milestone in education (for example, Argentina commemorates Domingo Faustino Sarmiento‘s death on September 11 since 1915,[2] while India celebratesDr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan‘s birthday on September 5 since 1962). This is the primary reason why countries celebrate this day on different dates, unlike many other International Days.

3. An Illustrated Guide To “Game Of Thrones”

“One of the best things about Game of Thrones is its sheer complexity. I guess you could say that’s one of the worst things about it, too, but I think you have to appreciate a show that respects its audience enough to let dozens of characters wander through nearly as many plot lines without constantly going back to remind us who’s who.” (via Mashable.com).

If you are a fan of Game of Thrones as we are, you will definitely enjoy this guide. And even if you aren’t a fan it’s a nice example of simplified and visualized information.

5. Supplement Vs Food

It will take roughly 11.2 hard-boiled eggs to get the equal amount of selenium as one 200mcg tablet. “We’re not saying it’s a good idea to eat 11 hard boiled eggs a day – but that’s how many it would take to max out on selenium. And the 3 cups of caviar required to fill up on Omega-3 would put a considerable strain on your finances.” The folks at supplementcentre.com created this infographic as a visual comparison between actual amount of food and supplements needed to get the same amount of nutrients.

For our health enthusiasts!
